Responsibilities & Context
Job Context: The selected candidate shall have to perform all the electrical works at the University.
Job Responsibilities:
Electrician (Substation and Generator Operation):
1. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on substation equipment.
2. Assist with operating and maintaining university generators, including cleaning, inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
3. Participate in electrical projects involving substations and generators (installation, maintenance, repair).
4. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during substation and generator work.
5. Maintain accurate logs of inspections, maintenance, and repairs for substations and generators.
6. To report all of his duties to his superior.
7. Perform other duties as and when assigned by the University Authority.
Electrician (Internal Electrical Maintenance with BBT):
1. Install, maintain, and repair BBT systems & electrical wiring.
2. Troubleshoot BBT & electrical issues.
3. Ensure electrical code compliance & safety as guided by his superior.
4. Inspect existing electrical systems.
5. Assist with new electrical infrastructure projects
6. Maintain electrical work records & communicate effectively.
7. To report all of his duties to his superior.
