Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science (BSc)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).
Certifications in relevant areas such as safety or environmental management are a plus.

Experience

The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry)

Responsibilities & Context

Plant Operations Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the recycling plant, ensuring machinery and equipment are operating at peak efficiency.
Coordinate with plant staff to optimize plant processes and troubleshoot any operational issues.
Ensure the safe and proper use of all equipment and machinery in the plant.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
Perform regular inspections and audits of plant equipment and processes.
Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues within the plant systems.
Process Optimization & Improvements:
Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Suggest and implement technological advancements or process modifications to increase recycling efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure the plant is operating in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and maintain safety protocols and conduct training for staff on safe operations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and make necessary adjustments to minimize safety hazards.

Project Management:

Lead or support engineering projects related to plant upgrades, new installations, or process improvements.
Work with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers as necessary.
Maintain documentation for all plant modifications, projects, and maintenance activities.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of plant operations, maintenance logs, and performance metrics.
Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, equipment status, and any issues that require attention.
