Responsibilities & Context
SNOWTEX Group is seeking some experienced and talented Civil Engineers to lead the civil engineering aspects of our upcoming Wash Building and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of civil works, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a vital facility that promotes hygiene, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of civil engineering solutions for the Wash Building and Effluent Treatment Plant construction project, from initial planning stages to project completion.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements, constraints, and environmental considerations, providing technical expertise and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs, specifications, and construction drawings for civil works, including building structures, foundations, utilities, and site infrastructure, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to integrate civil engineering requirements into the overall project design and ensure seamless coordination among disciplines.
- Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers, designers, and drafters, providing guidance, training, and technical support to facilitate their professional development and ensure project success.
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for civil construction activities, optimizing project budgets, schedules, and resource utilization while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
- Oversee construction activities on-site, including earthworks, concrete works, structural erection, and utility installations, monitoring progress, quality, and safety performance to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality control tests, and safety audits to identify potential issues, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress and compliance with established standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project communication, resolve engineering issues, and address stakeholder concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including construction plans, specifications, progress reports, as-built drawings, and change orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and interdisciplinary reviews to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and optimize project outcomes, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, incorporating new knowledge and innovations into project designs, methodologies, and processes to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
