Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field with renovation experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Have experience in renovation, remodeling, or retrofitting projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural integrity, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong English communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in office restoration.
- Knowledge of sustainable renovation practices.

Responsibilities & Context
We are seeking a skilled Engineer with Renovation experience to join our team and lead the design, planning, and execution of renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong structural, mechanical, or civil engineering background with hands-on experience in office renovations, retrofitting, and restoration. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet safety standards, budget constraints, and client expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess existing structures to determine renovation needs, feasibility, and potential risks.
- Develop engineering plans, calculations, and specifications for renovation projects.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and construction teams to implement modifications on behalf of BIC.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project plans.
- Troubleshoot design and structural challenges that arise during renovation work.
- Prepare cost estimates, timelines, and progress reports for stakeholders (BIC).
- Recommend innovative solutions for structural upgrades, energy efficiency, and material selection.
