Responsibilities & Context
Prepare and analyze the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) based on provided drawings.
Review and verify drawings to ensure they meet the requirements of the work.
Recommend and utilize the most suitable quantity of materials based on the location and nature of the work.
Collect first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other relevant locations.
Maintain an up-to-date price list of all materials.
Build and nurture relationships with key vendors including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues.
Visit sites as necessary to ensure accuracy and progress.
Perform site bill checks and ensure accurate billing.
Propose alternative materials when needed.
Liaise with architects and structural engineers to ensure the best possible product outcomes.
