Summary

Education

At least a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, economics, management, English or relevant fields. Proven experience in event management, coordination, or project management.
Training from reputed institutions in event management will be preferred.

Additional Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
The incumbent must have a mindset to work in a team.
Must be able to carry out multi-tasking activities and have a mindset to work under pressure.

Essential Skill requirements:

Demonstrate strong proficiency in both Bangla and English for effectively conducting and reporting on events.

Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) is a self-sustained and not-for-profit independent Trust established in 1996. IWM service includes but not limited to policy support, capacity building research and innovation, development advisory and consultancy services. IWM is a unique organization in Bangladesh that provides world class services in the fields of Water resources management, Water supply, Sewerage and Urban drainage management, Coast, port & estuary management, Flood Management, Irrigation Management, Survey and data, ICT and GIS and River Engineering for improved and sustainable Water Resources Management leading to Green Climate.
Unit: Strategic Planning & Business Development (SPB)
Reporting To: Head, SPB

Job Responsibilities

Collaborates with clients to understand their needs and objectives, creating detailed event proposals.
Coordinates all logistics for the event, including venues, catering, travel, and staffing.
Manages the event budget to ensure financial adherence.
Addresses any issues that may arise before, during, or after the event.
Produce a post-event evaluation to guide improvements for future events.
