Responsibilities & Context
- Purchase raw materials and supplies according to project specifications.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements with vendors
- Responsible for continuing programs of exploration of raw materials, suppliers and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity and delivery
- Interfaces with product coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments· Maintain inventory levels to ensure projects finish on deadline
- Supervise and maintain the physical inventory of raw materials
- Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
- Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members
- Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
