Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
The Executive/ Assistant Manager, Commercialization is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the entire footwear development process, from initial design and sample creation to final production. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to ensure that all footwear products meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and performance. This role will collaborate closely with designers, production teams, and customers to drive innovation and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and refinement of shoe lasts, ensuring accurate shapes and sizes that meet design specifications of the customers.
- Manage the development of pattern designs and ensure they align with the design intent and production capabilities.
- Direct the molding process for sample creation, ensuring prototypes accurately reflect design specifications and quality standards.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on samples, working closely with designers and production team to resolve any issues and communicate with the customers.
- Lead the transition from sample development to full-scale production, ensuring seamless integration and consistency.
- Assist the production team, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
- Oversee, implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production cycle to minimize defects and ensure product excellence, assisting the Quality Assurance team.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external partners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Lead initiatives for sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing practices within the footwear engineering domain.
- Mentor and develop technical staffs, providing training and guidance to build a high-performing team.
