Required Qualifications & Competencies:
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar executive-level support role, preferably in an NGO, trade union, or development sector
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and email tools
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and time management
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality
- High emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and a strong sense of accountability
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with trade unions, civil society, or development organizations
- Knowledge of labour rights, social justice, or gender-sensitive work environments
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and responsiveness
- Familiarity with government, donor, and CSO coordination
- Skills in content drafting, social media support, and event coordination
Work Environment:
- Based in Dhaka with occasional travel, including to field locations and events
- Must be comfortable working in a rights-based, diverse, and collaborative team environment

BLF is inviting to suitable candidates for Executive Assistant to the Executive Director offering attractive salary package.
Position Overview:The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Executive Director of Bangladesh Labour Foundation. The Executive Assistant must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks with utmost confidentiality and efficiency. This is a key role that demands professionalism, communication finesse, and multitasking capabilities.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ED’s calendar, schedule meetings, and organize travel itineraries (domestic and international)
- Coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of the ED, including drafting emails, letters, reports, and presentations
- Arrange meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Assist in the preparation of speeches, briefing notes, proposals, and official correspondence
- Organize and maintain confidential files and ensure effective record-keeping
- Support the ED in stakeholder engagement, including organizing calls, visits, and events with government, donors, partners, and trade union leaders
- Act as a liaison between the ED and internal departments and external partners
- Assist in research, data compilation, and report preparation as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity and discretion
