Requirements

Education

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing
  • Preference will be given to candidate with Diploma Engineering/ B. Sc Engineering in Textile.

  • Must possess the ability to work under challenging environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (Spoken & Written)

  • Good Computer skill.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The incumbent shall efficiently manage the overall functions and activities of a large Knit Composite Garments by developing strategies and setting directives with regard to the Marketing & Merchandising, Production & Shipment, maintenance, material management and overall operations of the factory.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Central Production Planning & Control (PPC):

  • Lead and manage the Central PPC team to ensure effective production planning, supply chain execution, and on-time delivery as per customer requirements and organizational goals.

Production Capacity Analysis & Utilization:

  • Analyze existing and targeted production capacities, generating regular utilization reports for management and the marketing team to inform strategic decisions.

  • Develop and implement capacity estimation strategies to optimize production efficiency and meet order management goals.

Strategic Planning for Production Efficiency & Delivery:

  • Make strategic plans to enhance production efficiency, minimize lead times, and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to set realistic delivery targets and develop forecasts that align with market demand.

Shipment Planning & Marketing Forecast:

  • Create comprehensive shipment plans and marketing forecasts, ensuring alignment with the marketing team’s objectives and customer expectations.

  • Prepare shipment schedules and monitor them to ensure timely execution.

TNA, Material Planning, & Line Plan Execution:

  • Work closely with the merchandising team to prepare Time and Action (TNA) plans for material procurement and line scheduling.

  • Track orders and ensure execution aligns with production timelines, including timely follow-up on material availability (fabric, trims, accessories).

Cross-Department Coordination:

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between marketing, merchandising, production, and supply chain teams to develop a robust, integrated production plan.

Daily Production Workflow Oversight:

  • Oversee the daily production workflow, ensuring the efficient use of resources and identifying potential risks or bottlenecks, with timely interventions to minimize delays.

Monitor Production Efficiency & KPI Tracking:

  • Continuously monitor production efficiency, tracking key metrics such as Production Completion Date (PCD), On-time Delivery, Ship Ratio, and Plan Performance Index.

  • Lead the initiative to review and improve planning processes, tools, and reporting systems.

Cutting, Sewing & Packing Monitoring:

  • Keenly monitor and evaluate performance in cutting, sewing, and packing stages to ensure achievement of production targets.

Manufacturing Waste Reduction:

  • Analyze the causes of manufacturing wastes and losses, proposing and implementing measures to mitigate inefficiencies across all production stages.

Schedule Management & Workflow Regulation:

  • Ensure production schedules are regulated, adjusting workflows according to manufacturing sequences and lead times to optimize production output.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the PPC team, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all operations.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Report regularly to senior management on production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and exceed delivery expectations.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain very good level of customer relationship, regular phone calls, prompt responses, study customer web sites and create opportunities, new areas of business

  • Ensure very efficient communications with the key customers and maintain within 24-hour response culture for all incoming enquiries

  • Ensure any customer complaints are dealt immediately and close matters instantaneously

  • Travel overseas on business trips to attend face-to-face meetings with customers, when required

Budgeting and Strategy

  • Involve in preparing annual departmental budgets with Management, monitor and authorize expenses, analyze deviations and implement control measures to ensure adherence to budgets

  • Ensure that correct price margins are kept on accepted orders by analyzing the garment costs and pricing for orders to facilitate the profitability of operations

  • Develop a merchandizing strategy for the gross profits and controlled element of net profit

  • Ensure and supervise the Merchandising, Technical and PPC team activities in order to achieve monthly and yearly target

  • Plan the sales budgets and margins each financial year and ensure to achieve the agreed budgets within the customers who you are responsible for

  • Align to Management direction and strategies and keep him well informed on all activities weekly/monthly and find better solutions for all exceptions/issues

  • Ensure timely submission of management reports and escalating critical issues to Management and seek help if required

Costing & Negotiation

  • Engage in costing and price negotiations with vendors and customers

  • Aim to offer right first-time prices to customers with a good understanding about competition

  • Finalize payment terms for each customer
