Responsibilities & Context
# Technical Support:
- Provide first-line support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Respond to IT support requests through various channels, such as email, phone, or SharePoint support ticketing system.
- Provide Teams meeting support (connect, share, device settings etc).
- Arrange Projector/sound system for meeting/training session.
- Provide remote support for employees working off-site or in remote locations.
- Remote IT Support to UK office
# On-boarding and Off-boarding Support:
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring that their IT needs are met, and they have the necessary equipment and access.
- Purchase/arrange laptop and configure M365 account, Intune, and Sophos Endpoint Security along with other necessary apps.
- Facilitate the off-boarding process by retrieving IT assets and revoking access once required.
# Training and Knowledge Transfer:
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees to enhance their proficiency in using M365 applications.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
# IT Asset Management:
- Procure IT assets following relevant SOP.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Track the allocation and movement of IT assets within the organization.
- Repair and maintain IT assets and claim warranty from vendors as and when needed.
- Periodically assess the status of all IT assets and include/exclude/dispose based on their condition.
- Periodically archive M365 Outlook mailbox of user when exceeds allocated quota.
# Backup and Maintenance:
- Periodically archive M365 Outlook mailbox of user when exceeds allocated quota.
- Backup old data (5y+) to cloud storage.
- Monitor and maintain all Biometrics, CCTV, PA systems etc.
# Perimeter of responsibility:
- Executes on plans and strategies developed by the HOD and Senior Executive.
- Has decision-making authority on day-to-day operational issues within their area of responsibility, such as choosing tools & method for troubleshooting IT issues, buying IT consumables, warranty claim, sending devices for service etc.
- Provides input to the HOD on IT purchase, vendor sourcing & selection.
- Escalates issues to the HOD/Senior Executive that require higher-level decision-making authority.
