Responsibilities & Context

A Showroom Executive in Signet plays a crucial role in showcasing products and supporting sales efforts. By maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing showroom, this role helps to create a space that fosters client trust, drives business, and strengthens Signet’s brand with the client. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Showroom Setup and Maintenance:

  • o  Display Management: Oversee the layout and organization of garments in the showroom to ensure that they are displayed attractively. This includes managing racks, mannequins, and other visual merchandising elements.
  • o  Product Rotation: Regularly update the showroom with new collections, styles, and trends to keep it fresh and relevant for clients.
  • o  Cleanliness and Upkeep: Ensure the showroom is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with the latest product samples.
  • o  Inventory Management: Track and manage the inventory of samples in the showroom, ensuring that the right products are available for client viewing at all times. 
  • Client Interaction and Engagement:
  • o  Client Meetings: Schedule and conduct meetings with clients (buyers, designers, retailers) in the showroom, giving them a detailed presentation of available garments, fabrics, and collections.
  • o  Product Demonstrations: Walk clients through the showroom, highlighting the features, benefits, and unique selling points of the garments and fabrics.
  • o  Handling Client Requests: Address any specific client requests regarding product details, customization, or garment specifications and ensure they receive appropriate information.
  • o  Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from clients about the products, which can be relayed back to the production or design teams to improve offerings.

Vendor and Product Coordination:

  • o  Sample Coordination: Manage the arrival and organization of samples in the showroom. This includes liaising with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure that the latest products are available for display.
  • o  Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the garment products, including materials, production techniques, and custom options, to provide clients with accurate information during showroom visits.
  • o  Vendor Relations: Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that products meet the quality standards expected by clients and Signet. This may also involve resolving any quality issues with samples on display. 
  • Inventory and Sample Management:
  • o  Sample Tracking: Keep an organized system for tracking samples, including new arrivals, outgoing items for client review, and products that need replenishment.
  • o  Stocking and Replenishment: Ensure that the showroom is stocked with a complete and up-to-date selection of garments in line with current trends and client demands.
  • o  Sample Rotation: Coordinate with the design and production teams to replace old samples with new collections or styles regularly, ensuring that the showroom remains relevant to client needs. 

Visual Merchandising and Design:

  • o  Aesthetic Consistency: Ensure the showroom follows a cohesive aesthetic that aligns with Signet’s identity. This could include the use of color schemes, lighting, and furniture that enhance the presentation of garments.
  • o  Display Techniques: Implement advanced visual merchandising techniques, such as grouping garments by theme, season, or trend, to create a visually appealing and customer-friendly environment. 
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain design records, technical sheets, and updates for each design project to ensure smooth communication with the relevant team. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales & design teams for design assistance based on necessity & feedback and support the merchandising team in aligning design support tasks with buyer requirements.
