Additional Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerece

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the garments sector.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.

• Good knowledge of Bangladesh VAT, TDS, and other regulatory compliance.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking to hire an accountant for a Garment Company in Bangladesh. The person should have good written & Spoken communication, and their Key responsibilities will include:

• Handling Complete accounts of the Company
• Comply with all compliance, including VAT/TDS, on a timely basis
• Preparation of financials for audit
• Supporting management in budgeting & Cost analysis
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Handle daily accounting tasks including voucher preparation, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliation.
• Manage VAT & TDS calculation, deduction, return submission, and compliance as per Bangladesh laws.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including NBR, income tax, and labour-related financial obligations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors during audits.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation in coordination with production and store departments.
• Supported management in budget preparation, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Draft reports and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders as required.
