Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
3. Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
4. Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
5. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.
6. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Supervision: Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their work.
- General Ledger: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform and review bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Audit: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze costs, providing insights for cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Management Tasks: Perform any tasks assigned by the management as required.
Professional & Additional Qualification/Requirements.
- Hands-on experience in Tally, Quick Book and related ERP
- Proficient in MS Office.
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
- Solid knowledge of accounting terms/theory/ regulations.
- Minimum 3 year’s experience in steel industries.
- The designation may be revised for qualified deserve candidates
- Multitasking and able to handle multiple companies’ books of accounts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
