Responsibilities & Context
The Executive/Sr. Executive – Internal Audit will be responsible for conducting field audits at various company branches, warehouses, plants, factory and depots. The role involves assessing internal controls, compliance with company policies, and identifying operational inefficiencies or risk areas. This is a travel-intensive position requiring strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work independently in field environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site audits at Depot, warehouses, Factory and other operational units to evaluate compliance with internal controls, company policies, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
- Perform risk assessments and audit planning for each field visit.
- Review inventory, cash handling, sales, procurement, HR, Sales Executive Diary, Party ledger and operational processes during field visits.
- Identify process gaps, fraudulent activities, or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Interact with branch/unit heads and staff to collect audit evidence and clarify discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, root causes, and actionable recommendations.
- Follow up on audit recommendations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Support investigations into irregularities or suspected frauds discovered during audits.
- Provide input for improvement in audit procedures and tools based on field experience.
- Ensure all audit documentation is complete, accurate, and filed as per internal standards.
- Adhere to timelines for audit completion and reporting.
