Responsibilities & Context

Context:

This position is Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes manage the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, manage the maintenance budget and resources, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and draw up a maintenance pre-schedule.
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
Oversees the maintenance of the production facilities, all equipment supporting production, and material handling.
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
Ensure all machinery & equipment maintenance is continuous.
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
Manage relationships with contractors or service providers.
Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings & Machines to ensure functionality.
Performs maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
Provides training and continuous development for all maintenance personnel.
Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive.
Develops and deploys maintenance control plans to direct the execution of planned preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Ensures the management and maintenance of optimal levels of spare parts so that the operational facility does not suffer from work stoppage due to parts.
Provides technical assistance regarding the quality and/or performance of machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of technical personnel.
Any other responsibility as assigned by the competent authority from time to time.
