Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Supply Chain Management;
Professional certification in supply chain management (CSCP, CPIM).

Responsibilities & Context
The incumbent will manage and monitor of overall local purchase of spare parts and chemicals for smooth supply and operation of factory. He will also be responsible to maintain good relationship with all existing and potential suppliers. He will be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company.
- Supervise all activities of local purchase of spare parts and chemicals.
- Negotiate with respective suppliers for best quality, competitive price and other terms and conditions.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Select and approve best supplier in terms of quality, quantity and other terms and conditions.
- Prepare and place or issue purchase/ work order to respective supplier as per approval.
- Monitor and ensure on time delivery of products as per the requirements of purchase/ work order at respective site/ location.
- Preserve purchase data records (supplier contracts, agreements, order records etc.) Prepare and submit periodical purchase statement to superior.
- Analyze market trend and report recommendations relating to purchasing activities to superior.
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers complying with company rules and regulations.
- Manage and control of stock, warehousing and distribution activities.
- Control local purchase and supply of spare parts and chemicals as per requisition received from Factory Any other tasks assigned by superior.
