Responsibilities & Context

• Maintain accurate stock levels through regular inventory checks and updates.

• Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing material.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.
• Inspect goods for damage and accuracy upon arrival.
• Ensure materials are stored safely, efficiently, and according to company procedures.
• Use space effectively to optimize stockyard layout.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documents related to stock movements.
• Update stock regularly.
• Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and appropriately.
• Supervise and coordinate staff like crane operators and helpers for loading and unloading.
• Train new workers in procedures and safety guidelines.
• Work closely with the production & delivery team to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with transport companies and drivers at the time of material receiving.
• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management regarding stock status and movement.
• Address issues like misplaced items, delays, or stock discrepancies promptly.
