Graphic Design Trainer:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, or related field.
Substantial experience as a graphic designer and freelancer.
Previous experience as a design instructor or workshop facilitator is preferred.
Computer Basics & Spoken English Trainer:
Bachelor’s degree in English Language Education or a related field.
Certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or equivalent.
Proficiency in computer basics and relevant software applications.
Prior experience in teaching English and computer skills is preferred.
Handicrafts Trainer:
Proficiency in various handicraft techniques.
Extensive experience in practicing and teaching handicrafts.
Strong creative and artistic abilities.
Experience in conducting workshops or classes.
Tailoring Trainer:
Professional training in tailoring and garment construction.
Extensive experience in garment making, alteration, and customization.
Proficiency in pattern drafting, sewing, and finishing techniques.
Experience in teaching tailoring or conducting sewing classes.
Self-Defense Trainer:
Certification in a recognized martial arts discipline (e.g., Karate, Taekwondo, Judo).
Extensive training and experience in self-defense techniques.
Certification as a self-defense instructor or coach.
Knowledge of personal safety principles and strategies.
Responsibilities & Context
Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) is dedicated to empowering girls by unlocking their economic potential through sports, play, and life-skills education. In collaboration with Women Win Netherlands, we are implementing the GOAL project, which adopts a holistic approach to place girls at the heart of their learning journey, fostering valuable life skills and paving the way to economic empowerment.
Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and skilled trainers for various trade courses including Graphic Design, Computer Basics & Spoken English, Tailoring, Handicrafts, and Self-Defense. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in their respective fields, coupled with a dedication to empowering and educating young women.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
Develop and deliver comprehensive graphic design courses.
Create graphics including illustrations, logos, marketing materials, layouts, and website designs.
Provide practical, hands-on training and mentorship in graphic design.
Computer Basics & Spoken English:
Develop and deliver training programs in computer basics and spoken English.
Create and implement clear, concise, and engaging lesson plans.
Assess and monitor students’ progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments.
Handicrafts:
Prepare course materials and activities for various handicrafts such as Block Batik, Tie Dye, and Hand Painting.
Teach and inspire creativity through arts and crafts activities.
Conduct engaging workshops and classes.
Tailoring:
Conduct vocational training in tailoring and dressmaking.
Teach skills in measuring, cutting, and sewing fabrics to create custom clothing items.
Provide practical instruction in garment making, alteration, and customization.
Self-Defense:
Teach self-defense techniques with a focus on women and girls.
Provide training in recognized martial arts disciplines.
Educate on personal safety principles and strategies.
General Desirable:
