Responsibilities & Context
Job Overview: The Export Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire export process, from initial inquiry to final delivery. This includes developing and implementing export strategies, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating with various internal departments, and maintaining relationships with customers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
01.Develop and Implement Export Strategies:
*Formulate and execute export strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
*Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to penetrate these markets.
*Conduct market research to understand global trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
02.Export Operations Management:
*Oversee the entire export process, including order processing, documentation, shipping, and delivery.
*Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of export orders.
*Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
*Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet export demands.
03.Compliance and Documentation:
*Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs, export controls, and other legal requirements.
*Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
*Stay updated on changes in export laws and regulations and ensure the company’s export activities are compliant.
04.Customer Relationship Management:
*Maintain strong relationships with international customers, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that arise.
*Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely communication and delivery of goods.
*Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international clients.
05.Performance Analysis and Reporting:
*Monitor and analyze export performance metrics, such as sales, profit margins, and delivery timelines.
*Prepare regular reports for senior management on export activities, challenges, and opportunities.
*Identify areas for improvement in the export process and implement solutions.
06.Team Leadership and Development:
*Lead, mentor, and develop a team of export coordinators and support staff.
*Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the export team.
*Coordinate with HR to recruit, train, and evaluate export team members.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
*Minimum of [X] years of experience in export management, international trade, or a related field.
*Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export documentation.
*Proven experience in developing and executing export strategies.
