Job Description:

• Encourage the farmer to fish farming through modern techniques thus ensuring the conversion of inactive ponds to active ponds.

• Visit ponds and provide technical support to the fish farmers regularly.

• Assist farmers in procuring better quality feed, hatchery, and inputs (lime, fertiliser, medicine etc.).

• Provide training to farmers on fish farming and conduct farmer meetings as per target.

• Maintain liaison with Government representatives and Fisheries Offices.

• Increase financial inclusion in branch-wise WE-CAN beneficiaries & other potential fish farmers.

• Inform fish farmers about BRAC Microfinance’s products & services

• Update and share the potential fish farmers list with PO and BM of the Dabi Programme.

• Ensure member admission and loan disbursement as per target.

• Update and maintain report files and registers.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Location: BRAC Field Office (Sirajganj, Pabna, Naogaon, Natore, Gaibandha, Joypurhat, Bogura, Barishal, Shariatpur, Pirojpur and Bagerhat)
