Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree (MBA/MEM) will be considered an added advantage.
Experience

- 10 to 15 years

Additional Requirements
- Age 35 to 50 years
- Preference will be given to candidates currently working or having significant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- At least 5 years in a Factory Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong preference for candidates from pharmaceutical manufacturing, followed by FMCG, personal care, cosmetics, food processing, or other highly regulated process industries.
- Proven experience in establishing manufacturing systems, SOPs, production planning, quality management, and factory operations.

About the Role
Commander Soap Company Limited (COSCO) is seeking a dynamic, disciplined, and results-driven Factory Manager – Manufacturing to lead our end-to-end manufacturing operations. We are looking for a professional with proven experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments, preferably from a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company, who can bring world-class manufacturing discipline, quality systems, and operational excellence to our organization.
The Factory Manager will be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, maintaining regulatory compliance, developing manufacturing teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, installation, commissioning, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing lines and production facilities.
- Develop and lead a high-performing manufacturing organization with clear accountability, delegation, and performance management.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, product quality, and operational discipline.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), GMP (where applicable), and statutory regulatory requirements.
- Own manufacturing quality by working closely with Product Development, Chemists, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure consistent batch quality.
- Deliver production plans while optimizing yield, throughput, machine utilization, downtime, labor productivity, and manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Commercial teams for effective production planning and timely product delivery.
- Lead preventive maintenance programs and improve equipment reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Develop KPIs and performance dashboards using ERP/MIS systems and drive data-based decision-making.
- Lead recruitment, coaching, succession planning, and capability development of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and factory personnel.
- Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the factory.
