Responsibilities & Context
- Develop seasonal collections for various buyers based on market trends, themes, and buyer briefs
- Create design sketches, CADs, mood boards, and tech packs for new styles
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to ensure smooth product development
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, prints, and washes in coordination with sourcing and R&D
- Attend buyer meetings and presentations, providing creative input and technical support
- Coordinate with the sample section to develop prototypes and ensure they meet design intent
- Monitor fashion and industry trends to keep the design line fresh and competitive
- Provide clear instructions to pattern makers and sample makers for design execution
- Revise designs based on fit comments and buyer feedbackMaintain detailed records of all designs, samples, and revisions
