  • Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing projects on Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent Health or similar type of project with international, national and local NGOs.
  • Skilled in motorcycle driving with valid driving license will be added.
  • Computer and gadget operating skill, especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and internet communication, will be preferred.

Contacts and Key Relationship

  • His/Her main contact with Union Supervisor, RMNACH Specialist, Training, Gender, Equality and Inclusion Officer, MEAL Officer, HR and Finance Team.
  • Excellent facilitation/coaching skill to conduct group meetings.
  • Good oral communication skill in Bengali and local language but basic level of writing and reading English will be added value.
  • Excellent leadership capacity to maintain excellent team building at community level and conflict response management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Pro-active, self-starter and result oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to remain calm, and composed during time of stress and inspiring the same in the team.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context

Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government Humanitarian Organization working for advancement of poor men, women, children, youth, excluded people and person with disability since 2000. It is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, casts, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.

NSS is implementing a project titled “Partnerships for Improved Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Coastal Bangladesh” which is funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) and supported by Concern Worldwide. The project is being implemented at Amtali and Taltoli upazilas under Barguna district. The project duration is January 2023 to December 2026. NSS is seeking some competent Field Facilitators, experienced in implementing projects on Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent Health or similar type of project. The Field Facilitator is responsible for ensuring project activities closely with community people and assist Union Supervisor for accomplishing day-to-day activities of the project.

Job Location: Amtali and Taltoli Upazila of Barguna District.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual activity plans according to DIP and as per instruction.
  • Implement the project activities smoothly to achieve the results of the project.
  • Organize meeting, orientation, training, workshop, seminar etc. at Union level.
  • Attend training, meeting, workshops and seminar as desired by the project.
  • Maintain communication and liaison with Union level maternal, adolescents and child health service providing actors – SACMO, CHCP, FWA, TBA etc. and build better communication with them to strengthen health services.
  • Assist Union Facilitator to conduct survey, data collection, FGD, KII, Consultancy Meeting.
  • Organize people to from community groups and CSOs.
  • Attend meeting arranged by Union Facilitator or other senior team members of the project to share the progress of field activities and seek support from them for better implementation of the project activities.
  • Select participants and prepare participants lists for attending training, orientations, meetings, seminars and workshops.
  • Assist Union Supervisor for functional or activation of different committees at Community Clinics and Union Health Centers (FWCs).
  • Conduct community sessions (courtyard/group meeting) following the guideline of the project.
  • Maintain relationship with Community Clinics and Union Health Centers representatives to strengthen health service for community people.
  • Conduct child growth monitoring as per project guideline or other related activities.
  • Collect, update and process information related to impact monitoring of child well-being related impact indicators.
  • Participate Union level coordination meetings and Hospital Management Committee meetings.
  • Prepare monthly individual progress report and submit it to the Union Supervisor.
  • Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.
  • Practice, promote and endorse PSEA policy among team members as well as community people and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Carryout functions as desired by the project to meet the policy requirements of the organization and donor compliance. Assist the higher management in planning and decision making.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • TK. 16,000 per month with festival bonus and other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
