  • Knowledge on Right Based Approach, Result-Based Management – to enhance impact and training facilitation skill based on project acceptance
  • Knowledge on Community Based Approach and Strengthening of Civil Society – to ensure sustainability and local anchoring.
  • Knowledge on Safeguarding – ensuring that our programme’s safeguard people and contribute to a greener world
  • Sincere about time management
  • Competence in computer consider as priority areas
  • Ability to prepare good case study and collect good picture for program documentations
  • Willing to field visit by bi-cycle and work at remote/char land
  • Willing to work with marginalized people at community level.

Responsibilities & Context

Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples’ centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. About three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 Upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people. ESDO in partnership with Stromme Foundation is going to implementation ‘‘Socio-Economic Empowerment with Dignity and Sustainability” (SEEDS) for duration 5 years in Ulipur, Rajarhat and Chilmary upazila under Kurigram district. SEEDS basically have been designed based on human rights-based approach (HRBA) considering two thematic areas-Education, promote social change and sustainable development through inclusive quality education and lifelong learning; and Income generation and job creation- promote social change and sustainable development through improve livelihoods, enhanced income generations and green jobs.This program will work with 3000 HH focusing on Children, adolescents, youths and women. For smooth implementing of this program, ESDO is seeking to hire the qualified committed and dedicated person according conditions

Job responsibilities:

  • Mainly responsible for implementation all type of activities·
  • Project participant selection.
  • Community mobilization and provide support for activation of various formatted groups·
  • Ensure participation of targeted groups in project activities·
  • Ensuring effective communication and rapport building with education, agriculture, adolescent, youth and others departments along with local government authorities.
  • Close communication with private sectors/companies to receive services for project beneficiaries.
  • Identify appropriate participants for different interventions·
  • Develop capacity building of targeted groups.
