Responsibilities & Context

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare effective work plan for implementing emergency response project activities.
  • Conduct assessment to identity feasible sites for WASH facilities and implement renovation, repairment and disinfection etc. and operation and maintenance (O&M) and hygiene activities according to the guideline including technical specifications.
  • Prepare bills and submit to the account department as per brac policy & check the bill vouchers.
  • Conduct orientation for the user groups about operation and maintenance (O&M) of WASH facilities.
  • Conduct field visit in regular basis to accomplish renovation, disinfection, repairment of existing water points, disinfection and repairment of damaged latrines at households and institutions among the respective areas.
  • Communicate and coordinate with BRAC others associate programme colleagues and WASH stakeholders including DPHE for the betterment of performances of each activity.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and systematic documentation & filing and provide information for monthly, interim and final reports; Collect case stories from field and document lesson learnings.
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
