  • Maintain open and professional relations with all the project team members, promoting a strong & respectful team spirit, ensuring effective communication, and opportunities for debriefing.
  • Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Mukti Cox’s Bazar management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure quality implementation and contribution to Mukti Cox’s Bazar.
  • Strong facilitation skills, proven experience in conducting trainings/capacity building on education related issues in English and Bengali.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the FDMN response, humanitarian programs, and collaboration with other humanitarian actors.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively, including the ability to advocate for and simplify complex education concepts.
  • Excellent English and Bangla oral and written communication skills.
  • Can effectively translate to and from English to Bangla to Chittagong/Rohingya language.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office package.

Responsibilities & Context

The Field Officer provides leadership on field assignments focusing mostly on field level activities and demonstrates excellence in helping subordinates to find and apply local solutions to local challenges.

Planning & Implementation:

  • Prepare operational plan for the Learning Facilities (LF) & execute accordingly.
  • Oversee the implementation of education initiatives, including the construction of LC, provision of educational materials and teachers, volunteers & FAs training programs.
  • Ensure regular learning center operation, follow-up LF activities and provide continuous support to the teachers.

    Team Management:

  • Guide, supervise & capacitate the Field Assistant.
  • Assess teachers & Field Assistant training needs & ensure the training.

    Administrative management & Logistics:

  • Ensure of preparing teachers & volunteers salary & incentive sheet accordingly & disbursing the same.
  • Ensure teachers and children yearly performance assessment.
  • Ensure proper use of teaching learning materials in classroom and maintain stock position accordingly.

    Communication, Coordination & Networking:

  • Attend meeting, training organized by organization, stakeholders or donor.
  • Liaison with CiC Office, law enforcing agencies, education sector, community leaders & attend meeting to represent the organization.

    Community Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, parents and other relevant stakeholders to encourage community participation in educational activities.
  • Ensure PSG/CESG meeting, parents meeting & others events.

    Reporting:

  • Prepare periodic report and send to the reporting center.

    Policy Compliance & Safeguarding:

  • Advocate for the integration & upholding Core humanitarian Standard (CHS) among team & stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness among team & stakeholders about the importance of policy compliance of organization, government & donor and safeguarding in the context of the Rohingya response.
  •  Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program’s objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
