About the Project:

The “Promoting Effective, Responsive, and Inclusive Governance in Bangladesh (PERI)” project, supported by The Asia Foundation and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), aims to strengthen the Grievance Management Committee (GMC) and resolve cases involving migrant workers who have been victims of fraud or exploitation. The project focuses on empowering vulnerable communities and ensuring justice for migrants, operating in Chokoria, Shaharbil Union, and Pekua in Cox’s Bazar.

As a Field Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the project by working closely with GMC members, local authorities, and migrant workers, providing critical support and information for safe migration processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Conduct regular field visits and actively engage with Grievance Management Committee (GMC) members and local stakeholders.

  • Migration Information Support: Operate the Migration Information Booth to assist migrants in accessing safe migration information, connecting them with relevant service providers like TTC, BMET, and DEMO.

  • Case Management: Maintain accurate records of cases, assist in resolving migrant disputes in collaboration with GMC members, and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Communication Officer, Program Officer, and Project Coordinator to organize meetings, trainings, and community awareness activities.

  • Logistical Support: Assist in the logistical coordination of project activities, such as workshops and awareness sessions in the field.

  • Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as required by the organization’s management to support overall project objectives.
