- Proficiency in using training aids and materials, including digital tools.

- Fluent in spoken and written Bangla and English.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
- Computer skills: Very good skills in MS Office applications-word/excel/power point presentation, database and familiar with Internet. Typing speed must be high.
- Excellent training management and facilitation skills.
- Having Motorcycle with valid license and Computer & Smart Phone is must.
- Strong understanding of disability rights, inclusion, and accessibility frameworks.

Responsibilities & Context
Program: The meaningful Participation and Inclusion of Children and Youth with Disabilities in all domain of CBR.
Organization Overview: Barinagar Samaj Kallyan Sangstha (BSKS) is a non-government, non-political, non- sectarian and non profit local non-government Organization founded in 1988. BSKS came into being by the active initiatives of group of Philanthropic men and women. The Organization has been founded to ameliorate the sorrows and sufferings of the poor and underprivileged in the society aiming at the improvement of their overall socioeconomic conditions. All projects of BSKS are implemented with the preferential option to the poor, persons with disability and underprivileged women. Barinagar Samaj Kallyan Sangstha (BSKS) is going to implement a project named “The Meaningful Participation and Inclusion of Children and Youth with Disabilities in All Domains of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR)” in Jashore district which is Financially and Technically supported by the Lilian Fonds and Centre for Disability in Development (CDD). This collaboration between the Lilian Fonds and CDD highlights the importance of empowering Children and Youth with Disabilities and integrating their needs into mainstream community development. By addressing barriers and fostering inclusion, the project will contributes to building more equitable and accessible societies.
Job Overview: The Field Trainer will be responsible for delivering training and capacity-building sessions to community stakeholders, families, and program staff to enhance the participation and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities in all domains of CBR. The trainer will develop and implement inclusive training curricula, facilitate knowledge transfer, and ensure that field activities reflect the principles of accessibility, inclusion, and empowerment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a yearly training calendar and map community-level accessible venues.
- Identify children with disabilities, their parents, health workers, community leaders, and local government representatives from the community for capacity-building initiatives.
- Ensure training is conducted in accessible venues with provisions for reasonable accommodations.
- Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and develop mitigation plans considering risks faced by children with disabilities.
- Ensure training methods and materials are accessible and inclusive for all participants.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and provide follow-up support based on participants’ requirements.
- Compile training reports following the prescribed format.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and provide training to various organizations on disability and development aspects, as needed, at the community level.
- Ensure safe training programs are planned, implemented, and monitored, with the identification of children and youth with disabilities throughout the project period.
- Adhere to the “Do No Harm” principles at every stage of the project within the Program Management Cycle.
General Task:
Community Engagement:
- Work closely with families and caregivers to support the active participation of children and youth with disabilities.
- Promote awareness and understanding of disability rights and the importance of inclusion.
- Support community-led initiatives to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in CBR programs.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare monthly, bi-monthly, half-yearly and Annual Report in In English and share to donor.
- Documents project learnings and ensure preserving those documents for further use.
- Keep regular communication with donor part and do necessary correspondence as required.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Assess the effectiveness of training sessions and adjust content based on feedback and outcomes.
- Collect data and document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from field activities.
- Prepare and submit regular training reports to the Project Coordinator.
Advocacy and Awareness:
- Advocate for inclusive practices in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and social participation.
- Organize community awareness campaigns and events to promote the rights of children and youth with disabilities.
Collaboration with Program Team:
- Work in close coordination with program staff to ensure alignment of training with program objectives.
- Support the development and dissemination of informational materials for the program.
