Job Location: ASED Sreemangal Office (Moulovibazar district), with occasional field visits to Tea Garden and other areas
Duration: 1st January 2025 – 31st December 2025: But Highly Possibilty for Extension.
Organization Overview:
The Association for Socio-Economic Development (ASED HABIGONJ) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable development initiatives. With the financial assistance from EDUCO Bangladesh, ASED HABIGONJ will implement the WAVE Project in Sreemangal upazila under Moulovibazar district of Bangladesh. The WAVE project aims to improve the quality and inclusivity of early childhood education for marginalized children. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance & Accounts Officer to oversee the financial management of the WAVE Project, focusing on transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage project accounts in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring the efficient use of funds and adherence to financial plans.
- Record and update financial transactions using accounting software.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Project Manager and donor agencies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, donor regulations, and legal requirements.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and support.
- Manage staff payroll, including the calculation of salaries, allowances, and deductions.
- Ensure timely disbursement of payments and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and transparency.
- Maintain records of project assets and inventory, ensuring proper management and utilization.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and field staff to provide financial guidance and support.
- Train and assist team members in understanding financial procedures and compliance requirements.
