Education

Additional Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience as a financial or business analyst
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a managerial position
  • Experience with specialized financial accounting and database software (ERP, SAP, Tally, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of financial modelling and reporting templates with advanced skills in MS Excel and Power BI
  • Strong proficiency in preparing charts and presentations, and in all MS Office applications including Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English and Bangla
  • Good accounting knowledge with appropriate analytical competency and skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • High level of resilience and working to tight timelines and managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational, planning, time management and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive approach to business initiatives, including the ability to multitask, think creatively, identify issues and present solutions

The requirements:

  • The Finance & Business Analyst is a key managerial position within the Finance Department. S/he will provide high-level support for all financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, performance monitoring and reporting at the Academy. S/he will work closely with the Head of Finance and the Manager, Finance to ensure that the Academy’s financial plans are strategic and data-driven.

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual budget as per the set timelines in coordination with the various budget owners and departments.
  • Put systems in place to track the financial performance (including qualitative and quantitative information) against the budget on a regular basis and provide variance analysis in collaboration with budget owners.
  • Help to prepare and finalise monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports using data from the accounting system.
  • Prepare forecasts using various assumptions and future expected conditions.
  • Develop various financial models and costing analyses as and when required.
  • Identify business trends using real data and compile analytical reports.
  • Develop benchmarks and comparisons with other schools within and outside the region by compiling and analysing market intelligence.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimisation strategies.
  • Ensure reconciliation and analysis of construction and other capital expenditures.
  • Be part of the procurement process for budget control and general quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to the reporting timeline and coordinate with the Manager, Finance as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure an efficient and effective flow of information, feedback and advice.
  • Provide support to the Head of Finance on various ongoing projects and tasks as assigned.
