Experience

Additional Requirements

  • At least 04 years’ experience in the development field with two years.
  • Knowledge and experience on anticipatory action, Legal Aid Services Act, 2000 and Access to Justice.
  • Demonstrate very strong leadership and management skills and ability to work in the team.
  • Sound knowledge of project cycle management.
  • Excellent planning, analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies.
  • Excellent communication skills including a high level of written and spoken English.
  • Conversant in common IT applications (MS word, MS power point, MS excel, Accounting Software, Internet browsing & e-mail communications).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development working in the greater Chattogram division since 1985. YPSA is going to implementing a project on “The Ain Shohayota Activity” in Chattogram Division (Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Feni and Rangamati) in partnership with Democracy International. YPSA is inviting application from experienced professionals with proven track records for the following position for the Project.

Duration: 1st September 2024 to 30 April 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor project budgets.
  • Track expenses against the approved budget, ensuring proper allocation of funds.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors, management, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and organizational standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, vouchers, and invoices.
  • Process payments, manage payroll, and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Assist in both internal and external audit processes by providing relevant financial documentation and reports.
  • Address audit queries and implement .recommendations.
  • Monitor fund disbursement and usage according to project guidelines.
  • Oversee cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available for project activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, including office supplies, logistics, and facilities management.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including arranging venues and managing travel logistics.
  • Maintain personnel records, manage staff leave, and track attendance.
  • Ensure procurement of goods and services aligns with organizational and donor guidelines.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of project assets and manage asset disposal according to policy.
  • Ensure that financial and administrative operations comply with legal and donor requirements.
  • Ensure that the project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor and the organization.
  • Maintain child and gender-sensitive approach in all stages and maintain safeguarding measure.
  • Any other task assigned by the Management.
