We Expect from You:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration from an overseas university.

Over 20 years of experience, preferably in the tobacco industries.

Experience in different functions of Finance like FP&A, Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounting, Finance Control etc is preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum TOEIC score of 700, ensuring effective communication in a professional and financial context.

Candidates must possess proven expertise in bookkeeping, demonstrated by achieving at least 2nd grade in the Japanese Official Business Skill Test.

Responsibilities & Context

Position Purpose:

The Finance Director is responsible for defining and implementing the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring robust fiscal planning, and maintaining sound financial governance. This role oversees all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, compliance, investment oversight, and corporate financial reporting. The Finance Director serves as the primary liaison with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community, ensuring transparency and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for Finance function as a member of the Market Management Team, accountable for Market KPIs and also, facilitate cross-functional initiatives to leverage regional finance team.

What Will You Do:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

Establish and execute the organization’s financial vision and long-term strategic goals by participating with the Executive Committee members.

Develop financial plans and policies to enhance profitability, sustainability, and shareholder value.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team and board of directors.

Commercial Finance and Controlling:

Ensure effectiveness of Company’s investments to distribution chain (distributor, wholesalers).

Conduct financial planning and analysis for Annual/Strategic plans (ASP), Strategic Plan confirmation (SPC), Latest Estimates (LE), and Monthly Outlooks (PMM) for Bangladesh.

Define internal budgeting/forecasting schedules, validate, tabulate, and submit data to GPM.

Handle Corporate and Regional reporting requests related to planned data or necessary adjustments.

Lead all audit activities (both internal JTI and external (Deloitte) in IFRS and statutory for all Bangladesh.

Ensure that JSOX is sustained as implemented across the Company.

Treasury and Taxation:

To recommend optimal liquidity management, lead the evaluation of actual financial returns relative to planning for capital projects, directs cash management and financial risk management.

To ensure all business processes and flows across Bangladesh are in compliance with tax and related tax matters.

Procurement:

Support effective efficiency in delivering GIP procurement strategy aimed to provide the supply of goods and services required by the organization to specified quality, service and cost criteria.
