Job Context

Days Hotel is looking for a Front Desk Executive who is responsible for welcome hotel guests, check guests in and out of the hotel, deal with guest queries, provide prompt and professional guest service to meet guest needs and ensure guest satisfaction. The executive has to fulfill the administrative tasks as well as front office executive duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests, answer and direct incoming calls.Inform guests of hotel rates and services.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and maintain a high profile in the day-to-day front office operations.
  • Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy.Monitor customer satisfaction (Guest Feedback, Social Media Review).
  • Make and confirm reservations for guests and confirm relevant guest information.
  • Ensure proper room allocation and register and check guests in.Verify guest’s payment method, imprint credit cards for authorization.
  • Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms.Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings.Compute all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts.
  • Monitor the front desk and ensure all employees comply with all security procedures for visitors.
  • Receive and transmit messages for guests and retrieve mail, packages and documents such as faxes for guests.
  • Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone .
  • Provide accurate information about local attractions and services.Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests.
  • Complete and maintain any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management
  • Manage conference room bookings and scheduling.
  • Close guest accounts and check guests out
  • Monitor visitors to the hotel
  • Inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.
  • Ensures you are well presented (uniforms, personal hygiene etc), and also punctual.Enforces all cash handling, check cashing, and credit policies.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area.
