- Must be able to follow safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Must have basic math skills to accurately measure, record and report fuel quantities.
- Must have good communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with other team members and clients.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as fuel handling is often required during non-business hours.
Responsibilities & Context
- Loading and unloading fuel from tankers or storage tanks
- Performing safety checks on equipment and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Operating pumps and valves to transfer fuel between tanks and containers
- Measuring and recording fuel levels in tanks and containers
- Maintaining accurate records of fuel transactions and inventory levels
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and reporting any malfunctions or issues to management
- Following all environmental regulations and guidelines for the safe handling and disposal of fuel and related materials
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the fuel handling process
