Full Stack Developer (WordPress + React Native)

Job Description:

At Effectaive, we are pioneering the future of mental health support by integrating cutting-edge AI technology with proven psychological practices. Our mission is to provide accessible, personalized, and effective mental health care through our AI mental health support platform, helping individuals lead healthier, happier lives.

Role:

We’re looking for a versatile and proactive Full Stack Developer who can own and enhance both our WordPress-based site and our mobile app infrastructure built on React Native and Node.js. You’ll play a key role in scaling our product and infrastructure as we build the future of mental health tech.

What You’ll Do:

Maintain and extend our WordPress website (custom themes, plugins, APIs)
Build and iterate on our React Native mobile app (iOS + Android)
Develop backend services using Node.js, integrating AI workflows and user data
Collaborate with the founding team on product direction and features
Optimize site/app performance, security, and scalability
Support integrations (e.g. Stripe, Calendly, CRM, affiliate tracking)
Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

3+ years of professional experience in WordPress development (front-end + backend)
Proficiency in React Native for cross-platform mobile apps
Experience building APIs and backend logic with Node.js
Solid understanding of HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, MySQL
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
Must be able to communicate clearly in English (IELTS 7.0+ or equivalent)

Bonus Points:

Experience with AI integrations (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face)
Familiarity with Paid Memberships Pro, Stripe, or affiliate networks
Understanding of basic DevOps (e.g. GitHub Actions, server configuration)
Passion for mental health, wellness, or mission-driven work
