Additional Requirements

• Work Experience:
• At least 07 years of experience in fundraising, with a strong track record and demonstrated success of securing grants and donations for non-profit organizations.
• A broad network of contacts across funding organizations and bodies, with a proven ability to leverage these networks to secure funding.
• Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with a diverse range of donors, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and governments.
• Experience in fundraising for projects in the fields of education, gender, and science and technology.
• Experience in fundraising at global level, preferably for international bodies, USAID, BPRM, UKAID, FCDO or UN organizations including European donor agencies will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and emerging trends in the non-profit sector.
• Good understanding of gender, education, and sustainable development related topics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in consulting roles.
• A deep commitment to MedGlobal’s mission and values, with a passion for promoting women’s participation in science and technology in developing countries.
• Strong command and fluency in English is obligatory.
• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Should be physically fit and ready to travel extensively within Bangladesh and abroad as and when needed.
• Should be familiar to work comfortably in a multi culture environment.
• Should be flexible in an unprecedented situation and fast to adjust with the new needs.
• Knowing additional languages is an advantage.
• Should be in a habit of working extra hours in time of need.

Responsibilities & Context

Duration of the contract : 12 months, with possible extension

Job location : Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Bangladesh.

Reporting to : Country Representative, Bangladesh

POSITION OVERVIEW

Fundraising Officer oversees developing and managing campaigns and activities that bring in donations from various sources. This includes overseeing activities such as identifying and interacting with potential donors through strategic communications ranging from fundraising events and building partnerships with prospective donors. This position also prepares concept notes and project proposals and also help preparing budgets of the projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description- Fundraising Officer

• The Fundraiser Officer will have the following responsibilities: –
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports MedGlobal’s mission and vision.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, UN agencies, foundations, corporations, business conglomerates/entities and governments.
• Write project concept notes, project proposals, supervise/coordinate budget preparations, grant proposals and other fundraising materials.
• Actively work on fundraising process, including tracking communications and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
• Work closely with MedGlobal’s management team to develop new programs and initiatives based on funding opportunities identified.
• Provide regular reports on fundraising progress update trackers and recommend for improvement.
• Closely coordinate and collaborate with the MG HQ grants and fundraising team with regard to the fundraising activities.
• Activities and Outputs:
• The Fundraising Officer will deliver the following:
• A detailed fundraising plan outlining the key fundraising activities to be undertaken during the 2-month consultancy period, including timelines, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• ● A comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes goals, objectives, and timelines.
• A list of potential donors and a plan for cultivating relationships with them, inclusive of a list of key interlocutors, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and governments, with detailed profiles and contact information.
• Grant proposals and other fundraising materials or events. By end of the contract, the Fundraising Officer should present a portfolio of grant proposals and other fundraising materials developed for MedGlobal.
• Regular progress reports on fundraising efforts and recommendations for improvement.
• Regular updating the relevant trackers and attend routine and extraordinary meetings
• A final report at the end of the job tenure summarizing the overall success of the fundraising activities, including an analysis of key KPIs, donor engagement metrics, and recommendations for future fundraising efforts.

Supervisory arrangements:

The Fund-Raising Officer will be supervised by the Country Representative-Bangladesh FO and will work closely with the HQ-Programme team and Bangladesh Programme Manager.

Compensation & Other Benefits

• Working Days and Hours: Sunday to Thursday, weekly 40 hours
• Salary and Benefits: We offer a good Salary package for an eligible candidate and others Benefit’s like, 2 festival bonus per year equal to one month’s gross salary, Medical Insurance coverage Staff and dependency, mobile allowance, per diem for field visits, severance allowance and others administrative benefits as per MedGlobal policy.
