  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Fluent in English and Bengali, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities & Context

Hapag-Lloyd AG, Germany – One of the leading global shipping lines represented by GBX Logistics Ltd, Bangladesh is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Sales to join our team in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales strategies, managing the sales team, and achieving revenue targets to support the growth and profitability of our business in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and accomplishment of the Commercial objectives, in terms of volume and contribution·
  •  Responsible for all the Sales activities in Bangladesh·
  • Lead sales team to exceed budget/Forecasts targets·
  • Preparation of Budget/FC’s, adjustments and trends·
  • Maximize Area allocations with the most profitable cargoes·
  •   Promote increased CIF and BCO participation·
  • Maintain the sales organization focused on maximizing contribution/profit·
  •   Ensure all sales KPI’s are achieved·
  •   Develop and grow reefer business in accordance with the objectives·
  •  Develop Key Accounts·
  •  Develop the import market·
  •   Participate and engage actively with the Customers and/or with other commercial entities ·
  • Implement and steer the Target Account Program for Dry/Reefer cargoes·
  • Promote the utilization of Hapag-Lloyd e-biz tools in the Area·
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking activities to promote Hapag-Lloyd’s service.
