Responsibilities & Context
Job Context :
We are looking for a potential General Manager for Factory Operation to oversee the production of a footwear factories. Who will play the strategic as well as the leadership role for controlling the factories’ employees as a leader and operating the overall factory in such a way that all operation can be driven in proper manner with reporting to the Higher Management as and when required.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensuring proper and centralized planning of production to meet the delivery deadline.
- Ensuring Quality of Products as per Specifications.
- Receiving the production requirement and making production plan as per Target of Production and oversee the production works of particular shift accordingly.
- Preparing Manpower Schedule as per sector & work volume and manpower setting accordingly and assign the duty to workers as per the production plan.
- Supervising the production plans on the regular basis and implement to ensure order delivery with timely execution till the final stage of delivery.
- Good Knowledge to prepare Time and Action plan to maintain the delivery.
- Time to time communication with the Supply Chain Management Team for retained materials and other aspects and Sales Team for analyzing the demand and supply of the products of the market.
- Ensuring the availability & storage of quality raw materials in a cost-effective manner.
- Assisting Line Manager in achieving maximum customer satisfaction in accordance with organization plans.
- Meeting the targets and those of the team as a whole.
- Directing the development of plans for the organization to achieve targets.
- Preparing Production Schedule weekly/Monthly/Yearly and Working accordingly.
- Maintaining and improving mechanisms for manufacturing and all organization activities, including surveying and measuring the manufacturing operations, process, outcomes and profitability and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities.
- Supporting to all other departments in matters related to manufacturing, e.g. procurement of materials.
- Developing strategic operating plans that reflect company’s long-term objectives and priorities.
- Maintaining Data Sheet daily & keeping record of all data specifically.
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly production report with proper record keeping and submitting necessary reports if required by the Management.
- Maintaining overall organization responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related manufacturing legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable e.g. Best Practice Guidelines, HRP Grid, BSCI, SEDEX, HIGG etc.
- Effectively managing labor requirements/manpower planning, production planning, stock management, plant modifications and developing innovative systems and processes utilizing all available technology.
- Ensure proper planning, Industrial Engineering, organizing, directing, controlling and monitoring of overall operation & administrative function of the Factory.
- Ensuring the good condition of machine and maintenance in proper and timely manner and reducing unnecessary maintenance cost.
- Ensuring proper working conditions & compliance requirement at work place are maintained.
- Ensuring maximum utilization of manpower, machine, materials etc.
- Delegating authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review.
- Setting up an example for team members of commitment, manufacturing process expertise, work ethics and habits and personal character.
- Adhering to all organization policies and procedures.
- Interacting and co-operating with all members of the organization, its suppliers and customers.
- Checking all type of Wastage and minimizing wastage as lowest as possible.
- Ensuring maximum utilization of manpower, machine, materials etc.
- Maintaining good liaison with local Govt. authorities, People & others.
- Other duties and responsibilities as entrusted by the Higher Management time to time.
