Job Context:

  • HKG Steel Mills Ltd is a sister concern of the HKG Group Manufacturing Billets and the constructions Materials MS Deformed Bar (Rod) of an International Standard quality. This is one of the quality brand products manufacturer with having modern Steel plant in the country.
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager for our Induction Furnace Melting Plant operations at HKG Steel. This role will be pivotal in operating and maintaining a state-of-the-art facility capable of melting up to 15,000 tons of billets per Month. The General Manager will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the induction melting furnace department, ensuring efficient production, adherence to safety protocols, and continuous improvement in operational processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day operations of the induction melting furnace department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and timelines are met.
  • Candidate should have enough knowledge for the direct billets charging systems from CCM to ROLLING MILLS.
  • Strategic Planning & Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategies and goals for the induction furnace melting department aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the billets manufacturing division in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Preparing quality manuals, procedure and work instruction, developing and writing statements of requirement, technical standard and specifications, developing and monitoring equipment calibration standard.
  • Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all manufacturing processes.
  • Optimize production efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost-effectiveness through process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities and costs control while maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.
