Responsibilities & Context

A renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Operation, located in Gazipur.

Key Responsibilities:

1. *Strategic Production Management*:

– Oversee and manage the entire production operations in the woven garments unit.
– Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet company goals.
– Ensure alignment of production activities with business objectives and delivery schedules.
2. *Industrial Engineering (IE) Integration*:
– Utilize industrial engineering principles to enhance production efficiency.
– Conduct time and motion studies to streamline processes and increase productivity.
– Implement lean manufacturing methodologies to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
3. *Quality Assurance*:
– Establish and enforce quality standards across all production processes.
– Collaborate with the quality control team to resolve quality issues promptly.
– Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications for all products.
4. *Leadership and Team Development*:
– Lead and mentor the production management team and staff.
– Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
– Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork.
5. *Cost and Budget Management*:
– Oversee the production budget and manage production costs effectively.
– Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
– Monitor financial performance and ensure cost-efficiency in production operations.
6. *Inventory and Supply Chain Management*:
– Ensure optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
– Implement effective inventory control systems to minimize wastage and overstocking.
– Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for timely material availability.
7. *Process Improvement and Innovation*:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead their implementation.
– Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
– Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in production processes.
