Committed to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, we are seeking a General Manager of Quality Assurance to lead our Food Safety Team and ensure the implementation of rigorous quality and food safety standards across all operations.

Job Location: CNL Factory, Nanakhi, Sonargaon

Roles and Responsibilities:

Food Safety Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Food Safety Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure adherence to food safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement within the Food Safety Team.

Implementation of FSMS (FSSC 22000):

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in accordance with FSSC 22000 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards.

Quality Budget & Strategy Preparation:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop the quality assurance budget and strategic plans.
  • Monitor and manage quality-related expenditures to ensure optimal resource allocation.

KPIs Development and Monitoring:

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for the quality assurance department and individual team members.
  • Monitor KPIs regularly to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

Customer Audits:

  • Coordinate and facilitate customer audits, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and addressing any audit findings promptly and effectively.

Internal Audit:

  • Conduct internal audits of quality management systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Customer Complaints Handling:

  • Investigate customer complaints related to quality and food safety issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to approve new vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and food safety standards.
  • Review and approve raw material and packaging material specifications.
  • Product Recall Management:
  • Develop and implement procedures for product recalls, including communication with regulatory agencies, customers, and stakeholders.

FSSAI License Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, including product labeling requirements and licensing.

Laboratory Resources Management:

  • Ensure availability and adequacy of laboratory resources for quality testing and analysis.
  • Oversee shelf-life studies and validation processes.

Supplier Audits and Compliance:

  • Conduct supplier audits and generate closure reports to ensure supplier compliance with quality and food safety standards.

HACCP Meetings:

  • Conduct regular Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) meetings to review and update food safety protocols.

Recordkeeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of FSMS activities, including audit reports, corrective actions, and management reviews.

Training and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement a training calendar for quality assurance staff and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with pest control and fumigation activities.

Raw Materials and Product Release:

  • Oversee the release of raw materials, packaging materials, and final products, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates and reports on key quality metrics and initiatives to senior management.
