Responsibilities & Context
- Production Planning: Set daily/weekly/monthly weaving targets aligned with order and fabric requirements.
- Loom Management: Ensure optimal machine efficiency (air jet, rapier, or shuttle looms).
- Quality Control: Maintain fabric quality standards — minimize defects, ensure consistent GSM, pick density, etc.
- Workforce Supervision: Manage supervisors, operators, and technical teams effectively.
- Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams to reduce downtime.
- Cost Control: Optimize yarn usage, reduce wastage, and manage power consumption.
- Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S practices.
- Reporting: Regularly report production, efficiency, and quality metrics to senior management.
