Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic plans for garment accessories, focusing on expanding market share and enhancing profitability.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for garment accessories by analyzing market trends and customer needs.

  • Establish long-term goals and targets for both the marketing and production teams.

  • Oversee the introduction of new accessories to meet market demand and customer specifications.

  • Lead the marketing and sales efforts for garment accessories, including generating new leads, managing client relationships, and closing sales.

  • Create and implement marketing strategies to promote accessories to potential customers, both domestically and internationally.

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to adjust the product portfolio and marketing tactics accordingly.

  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings to showcase the company’s products and capabilities.

  • Develop pricing strategies that balance profitability with competitive positioning in the market.

  • Oversee the production of garment accessories, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality output in line with customer orders.

  • Coordinate with the production team to optimize production schedules and manage workflow to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Monitor the entire production process, ensuring that quality standards are maintained and that any bottlenecks or inefficiencies are addressed.

  • Manage capacity planning to ensure that the production line can handle current and future demand, including managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor.

  • Ensure the timely procurement of raw materials and components needed for the production of accessories, working closely with the procurement team.

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring a steady supply chain while negotiating favorable terms and conditions.

  • Work to reduce lead times and optimize inventory management to balance stock levels with demand forecasts.

  • Ensure that the production process adheres to quality standards and that the final products meet customer specifications.

  • Implement quality control procedures for inspecting incoming raw materials and finished products.

  • Address any production defects or customer complaints by leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.

  • Work closely with the quality control department to ensure compliance with ISO standards or any other relevant industry certifications.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.

  • Act as a point of contact for major customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and negotiating contract terms.

  • Work with clients to understand their specific requirements for accessories and ensure those needs are met by the production team.

  • Collaborate with the design and R&D teams to develop and introduce new accessories based on customer feedback and market trends.

  • Oversee the sampling and prototyping processes, ensuring that new designs are tested, approved, and ready for mass production.

  • Stay updated on new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques to improve product offerings.

  • Manage and lead the marketing, sales, and production teams, ensuring they work cohesively toward company goals.

  • Set KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for team members and monitor performance, providing feedback and support as needed.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivating teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

  • Conduct regular training and development programs to keep the team updated on new technologies, marketing strategies, and production methodologies.

  • Oversee the financial performance of the accessories division, ensuring that marketing campaigns and production processes align with the budget.

  • Develop and manage budgets for marketing, production, and R&D activities, ensuring cost control and profitability.

  • Monitor production costs, material usage, and overheads to maximize profitability and reduce waste.

  • Work to continuously improve production efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and utilizing modern manufacturing techniques.

  • Implement lean manufacturing practices or Six Sigma methodologies to minimize defects and waste while maximizing output.

  • Ensure the proper maintenance of machinery and equipment used in accessory production, minimizing downtime.

  • Maintain social compliance for production, particularly if exporting products to regions with strict regulations (e.g., BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP certifications).

  • Oversee compliance with customer-specific requirements, ensuring that the production meets all technical specifications and ethical sourcing standards.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, innovations, and technologies in garment accessories.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product differentiation and expansion into new markets.

  • Propose innovative products and solutions to clients that add value and meet changing market demands.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the performance of the marketing and production operations, including sales forecasts, production efficiency, and profit margins.

  • Analyze data to monitor key metrics such as sales performance, production efficiency, lead times, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between the production, marketing, R&D, sales, and quality control departments to meet overall company objectives.

  • Facilitate communication between teams to resolve any interdepartmental issues that could impact production or sales performance.
