Responsibilities & Context

• Land Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans for land acquisition, considering the organization’s objectives and growth plans.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential land acquisition opportunities, considering factors like location, pricing, zoning, and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with landowners, sellers, or government agencies to secure land parcels at favorable terms and prices.
• Due Diligence: Perform due diligence on potential land acquisitions, including title searches, environmental assessments, and other feasibility studies.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and permits related to land acquisition and development.
• Financial Analysis: Evaluate the financial viability of land acquisition projects, including cost-benefit analysis and return on investment calculations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with land purchases, such as legal disputes, environmental issues, or market fluctuations.
• Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal departments, legal teams, finance teams, and external consultants to facilitate the land acquisition process smoothly.
• Documentation: Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to land purchase transactions.
• Land Use Planning: Work with urban planners, architects, and engineers to determine the best use of acquired land based on the organization’s goals.
• Land Banking: Manage land assets acquired by the organization, strategizing on the best timing and conditions for development or resale.
• Community Relations: Establish positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders affected by land acquisition projects.
• Project Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding the progress of land acquisition projects.
• Environmental and Social Responsibility: Ensure responsible land acquisition practices, including adherence to sustainable and ethical standards.
• Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with land acquisition projects and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
