  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer skills
  • Experience in working with government departments
  • Experience in delivering training for a variety of state and non-state actor audiences (local NGOs, government authorities, etc.)

  • Job Title: Government and Civil Society Advocacy Coordinator
  • Reports to: Director

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to promote policy changes and influence decision-makers in government and civil society.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant national and regional level government agencies, officials, and civil society organizations to advocate for our organization’s mission and objectives
  • Analyze and assess the potential impact of proposed policies and legislation on our organization and its stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of advocacy activities, outcomes, and engagements for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • Assist in maintaining internal and external communications, including with government ministries and agencies, academics, the media, national and international organizations, and different communities relating to advocacy.
  • Provide technical, logistical, budgetary, and basic translation support to project implementation
  • Participate in workshops and training to broaden knowledge and share it with colleagues and beneficiaries
  • Assist with different studies, evaluations, surveys, and data collection for reporting and progress documentation
  • Build relationships with key government agencies (DAE, DLS, Health) for technical capacity building for community service providers (CSP) for women
  • Exchange, networking, documentation of best practices and advocacy at different levels to promote and expand the women-friendly Rural Advisory Services model
  • Perform other additional activities as per organizational needs.
  • Assist Filed Facilitators to develop efficient and coordinated work plan and maintain smooth coordination and team spirit within the pools as well as within the team.
  • Facilitate in creating of gender sensitive working environment within the team as well as organization.
  • Arrange training, workshop and study visit for the staff members.
  • Prepare effective monthly, quarterly and annual plan of operation.
  • Support Filed Facilitators to facilitate the communities in preparation and implementation of local development plan.
  • Support Filed Facilitators in intervention related to reducing gender inequalities at community level and increase women economic empowerment as well as women entrepreneur.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual report to the respective authority.
  • Leading the capitalization process of the different intervention of the projects
  • Facilitate Filed Facilitators to internalise, ensure implementation of different monitoring tools and review the progress.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with partners, local organizations and community groups, and other service facilities at district, upazila, union’s level.
  • Sharing the project activities and strategies with upazila and district level administration, line agencies, private sectors and other stakeholders.
  • Participate at different meeting, workshops, networks, forums, committees, coordinated platforms at upazila and district level.
  • Prepare and review the budget according to activity plan and keep all the expenses within the approved budget limit.
  • Check bill & vouchers and financial activity report of project activities and recommend to management for approval.
  • Ensure materials and equipment needed for project implementation according to financial guideline.
