The Procurement Manager will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and establishing partnerships with artisan groups, craft vendors, and suppliers to source unique, high-quality, and culturally significant handicraft products. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a passion for handmade goods, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. The candidate will also focus on maintaining ethical sourcing practices, quality assurance, and cost efficiency while adhering to project deadlines.

The role is crucial for ensuring that the sourced products align with brand expectations, international market demand, and sustainability goals.

Research and identify skilled artisans, cooperatives, local workshops, and suppliers specializing in handicraft goods.

Source unique, high-quality, and culturally relevant handicraft goods aligned with market trends and organizational needs.

Negotiate contracts, prices, and lead times with artisans and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.

Inspect and evaluate product samples to ensure adherence to quality specifications.

Work closely with vendors to implement quality control measures and resolve any production issues.

Coordinate transportation, packaging, and shipping of goods from artisan hubs to storage or marketplaces.

Plan procurement budgets and monitor expenses to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality
