Responsibilities & Context

In order to maintain the greatest levels of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction, the Head of Business (Textile Testing Services) will oversee and manage every facet of the textile testing division. In addition to managing clients, this person will be in charge of business development, team leadership, and laboratory operations. The position requires a strategic thinker with great business acumen, extensive technical knowledge of textile testing, and the capacity to encourage innovation and organizational growth.

Find and investigate new business prospects while making sure they are in line with the overarching goals and vision of the organization.

Lead and guide the testing team while cultivating a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous development.

To make sure the services are competitive and up to date, keep an eye on market demands, legislative changes, and industry trends.

In charge of overseeing the daily activities of textile testing labs, make sure that standard testing procedures and protocols are followed.

To ensure accurate and trustworthy results, make sure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing processes to ensure high efficiency, precision, and safety in all operations.

Cultivate and preserve a solid rapport with manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers within the textile business.

Collaborate closely with the marketing and sales departments to find potential customers and market niches and to promote the company.

Assist clients with technical matters, analyze test results, troubleshoot problems, and offer guidance on textile quality and compliance.

Organize and lead client meetings and presentations to highlight the competence and dependability of the testing services.

Train, and develop a team of technical experts and laboratory staff.

Set performance targets, monitor progress, and ensure staff are provided with regular feedback and development opportunities.
