Requirements

Education

  • Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications related to the coffee industry will be given importance such as Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certifications, Barista Training, Coffee Quality Grader (CQI Q Grader), or similar credentials are highly advantageous.

Experience

  • At least 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Restaurant, Supply Chain, Food (Packaged), Beverage, Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread), Mineral Water, E-commerce

Additional Requirements

  • Passion for coffee and a deep understanding of specialty coffee culture

Responsibilities & Context

As the Head of Coffee Excellence, you will lead the charge in elevating our coffee standards, driving beverage innovation, and ensuring outstanding customer experiences. This role demands a blend of leadership, creativity, and technical proficiency in the coffee industry to push the boundaries of what Awake Coffee Roasters can achieve. The key responsibilities are –

  • Leadership & Culture:

    -Cultivate a vibrant internal culture focused on teamwork, energy, and positivity.

    -Mentor and coach team members to become future leaders.   -Promote a collaborative environment that fosters continuous growth and development.

  • Beverage Innovation:

    -Spearhead research and innovation initiatives to develop new coffee products.

    -Stay abreast of international coffee trends and integrate best practices.

    -Lead and inspire the research and innovation team to achieve groundbreaking results.

  • Customer Experience:

    -Ensure exceptional communication and service to all customers.

    -Educate and engage customers, guiding them through the journey of specialty coffee.

    -Strive to exceed customer expectations, enhancing their coffee experience.

  • Operational Excellence:

    -Oversee the logistics and execution of coffee-related operations.

    -Ensure all processes align with our commitment to quality and profitability.

    -Collaborate with various departments to maintain and elevate operational standards.
