Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Head of Group Insurance, Sales to direct and manage our organization’s business activities and develop and implement effective business. The successful candidate’s entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will help our organization maintain relationships with clients, generate new business, increase staff productivity, improve service, ensure sustainability and meet business objectives.

The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills and strong leadership qualities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all business activities, supporting staff development, enhancing efficiency, driving sales and improving revenue, maintaining client relationships, enhancing the organization’s image, and achieving overall growth objectives to meet yearly business targets.

Job Responsibilities

Operational:

Independently plan, direct and control core activities related to the corporate sales of group life and health products, in order to acquire and grow the business.

Lead the sales team by guiding and coaching them. Provide marketing-related information and follow up with them regarding proposals for business development and other requests.

Meet with prospective clients regularly to retain them and support the company’s future business growth.

Allocate budget resources, formulate policies, and coordinate business operations.

Manage operational costs, improve administration processes, and monitor financial activities.

Review, monitor, and report on market and competitor’s activities and take necessary measures to revise Guardian Life Insurance’s plans.

Strategic:

Formulate, plan, and implement a distinctive new business strategy to achieve business goals and the company’s long-term sustainability.

Oversee daily business operations, develop and implement growth strategies to improve revenue.

Analyze industry information and financial data.

Develop a new customer base through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer Keep constant contact with different corporate companies regarding company’s services.

Revise and plan the development and tailoring of new and existing insurance products and services.

Team Management:

Target setting, performance monitoring, coaching and guiding the sales teams down the line (both existing and new).

Understand available people and processes and align them with the business goals.

Identify areas of improvement in teams and processes and take necessary initiatives to bridge these gaps for delivery to long-term strategy.
